Candidates are asking the public to hire them for a job. Just as you would have to interview for a job or promotion, candidates should be prepared and willing to talk about the issues and their qualifications.
Business Voice Political Committee members compiled questions specific to each race, based on current issues facing each office. Candidates were invited to attend in person interviews with Business Voice members, and were given the opportunity to answer these questions as well as highlight their relevant experience. Candidates who were unable to make in-person interviews but wished to be considered for endorsement were given the opportunity to submit answers in writing.
These questions were designed to help our members evaluate which candidates have true understanding of the issues facing our community and are best prepared to handle them. There were no right or wrong answers. All interviews were considered in their entirety.
